People ask how a game ends up on Pocket Verdict, and the honest answer is that it's messy. Someone stumbles on it, plays it, and won't shut up about it in the group chat.

We do try to keep genres balanced. If the last three reviews were puzzles, the next one probably won't be. Variety keeps us honest and keeps the site interesting.

We also read our inbox. A lot of the smaller games we've loved came from developers or readers pointing us somewhere we'd never have looked.

There's no algorithm and no quota. Just curiosity, a stack of phones, and too much free time.
